Mobile iOS Phone Guide (User)

This guide covers installation, configuration, and usage of the Phone Mobile application for iOS, designed for the VirtualPBX | Contact Center platform.

 

Instructions on How to Download the App

  1. Open the Apple App Store.
  1. Search for VirtualPBX Phone.
  1. Download and install the app.

Login

  • Log in using the credentials you created during user account activation.

Note: If you haven’t set up your user password yet, please complete this step before proceeding.

1. Phone Availability: Change phone status.

2. Status Message: Enter custom messages.

3. Call Waiting: Enable or disable.

  • Company Directory: Access the organization’s contact list, including internal and external contacts.
  • Presence: View context-based information about where another user is or what they are doing, supplemented by custom messages.
  • Status: See the current communication status of users, indicating if they are on a call or in wrap-up state.
    • Status Colors
      • Available: User is ready to take calls.
      • Unavailable/In Wrap: User is not available or completing post-call work.
      • On a Call/Busy: User is currently on a call.

3. History

  • Redial: Review and call past numbers.

4. Dialpad

  • Make Calls: Dial or enter phone numbers directly.

  • Listen to Voicemail: Access your messages.
  • Set Up Voicemail Box: Configure voicemail preferences.

While on a Call

During an active call, the following options are available:

1. Mute: Temporarily disables your microphone so the other party cannot hear you.

2. Dialpad: Opens the numeric keypad for entering numbers during the call (e.g., for menus or passcodes).

3. Speaker: Switches audio output to your device’s speaker for hands-free communication.

4. Hold: Temporarily pauses the call.

5. Transfer: Redirects the call to another person:

  • Consult Transfer: Speak with the recipient before completing the transfer.
  • Blind Transfer: Transfer the call directly without introducing the caller.

6. End Call: Disconnects the current call.
