How can we help? 👋

Porting A Phone Number to VirtualPBX

Bring a number from an outside provider to VirtualPBX

Please be aware:

  • A recent copy of your bill, with the provider the number is currently hosted on, is required to port phone numbers. Ideally, the bill should show the phone number/s that is to be ported in so that in case of a rejection we can use the bill to dispute the rejection. Without the number showing on the bill, we are unable to dispute using the bill.
  • If you are porting numbers from different carriers, then you will need to submit a request for each carrier involved.
  • Local ports on average take about 1-2 weeks to be completed if there are no rejections.
  • Toll-free ports on average take 3-5 business days to be completed if there are no rejections.

  1. The PIN is typically for porting wireless/mobile phone numbers. This is a code you get from your current carrier. Sometimes called a Transfer PIN. If you contact your current carrier specify that you are porting a phone number out and verify if you need a transfer or port-out PIN.
  1. BTN = Billing Telephone Number, if you’re account only has 1 phone number, that is the BTN for the account. If you have multiple numbers you may need to confirm this with your current carrier.
